Sruti Baz is the founder of Mouma’s, a Cleveland-based, woman- and Asian-owned company making it easier to enjoy healthy, flavorful Indian meals at home. Founded in 2024, Mouma’s offers lentil-based meal kits inspired by her grandmother’s recipes, simple, wholesome meals that come together in 30 minutes or less.
Sruti started Mouma’s during the busy days of juggling work and motherhood, when finding time for nourishing, home-cooked meals felt nearly impossible. Turning to the comforting recipes she grew up with, she created a way to bring those familiar flavors to the table without the time or stress.
Mouma’s kits feature real ingredients, perfectly portioned lentils, and hand-selected spices. They’re preservative-free, high in protein, and designed for busy people who want to eat well without overcomplicating things.
Based in Cleveland, Mouma’s also partners with local organizations to support youth development and education, a small way to give back to the community that helped shape her journey.
When she’s not working on Mouma’s, you’ll find Sruti hiking, gardening, or cooking with her husband, Joe, their two children, Khalil and Ishani, and their dog, Lila.
