Nateisha Shaw was born in Jamaica and is now a proud Clevelander. As a child in Kingston, she recounts congregating in her late grandmother's kitchen where she observed the healing powers of a good home-cooked meal, which ignited her love of cooking.

She founded Island Cook Herbs & Spices, a proudly Caribbean, woman-owned business bringing the bold, authentic flavors of Jamaica to the heart of Cleveland. Known as Chef Island Babe, she specializes in handcrafted Jamaican spice blends, marinades, and gourmet seasonings inspired by generations of island cooking traditions.

Our mission is to share the rich culture and taste of Jamaica through our award-winning products, signature beef patties, cookbooks, and vibrant culinary experiences. Our brand doesn't just sell spices, we share a flavorful lifestyle rooted in culture, heritage, and purpose.
