Adria Clark is the co-owner of Blackbird Baking Company, a Lakewood destination for handcrafted, European-inspired breads and pastries. Since founding the bakery in 2009 alongside her husband, Tom, Adria has been the driving force behind the shop’s retail operations and all office and administrative functions, helping the business grow from a five-person team to a community pillar with 25 employees.
In her role, Adria performs a vital supporting role for the retail department and the production management team, while managing the bakery's bookkeeping, accounting, and overall administrative health. A graduate of the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program, she manages the complexities of a high-volume retail environment while overseeing the administrative systems that keep the business stable and profitable.
Adria is passionate about creating a genuinely inclusive and welcoming environment for both her patrons and her staff. She is excited to join Wonder Women of Food Cleveland to share her experiences in small business management and to support other women entrepreneurs in the Northeast Ohio food industry.
